Does Literotica allow AI stories?

No. Literotica is built around stories written by people, and its rules say so plainly.

The rule
Literotica's content guidelines list works generated by AI, large language models or other automated systems as something it does not publish. It says the site publishes work by humans, for humans.
Writing tools
Its AI FAQ says spelling and grammar tools are usually fine. But if blocks of text are written by a machine, that counts as AI writing, and that includes apps that "rewrite" your paragraphs for you.
Authors' rights
Literotica says it does not give anyone the right to train AI on the stories published there. Each story is copyrighted by its author.
In practice
If you want to read stories written by real people, Literotica is the place, and AI stories don't belong there. A story you make on RedQuill stays on RedQuill: publish it to Discover or keep it private.

Where Literotica is the better choice

Literotica has earned its place over more than 25 years. For these jobs, it beats RedQuill.

  1. Human voices. Every story comes from a real person's own fantasies and style. If that matters to you, no AI can replace it.
  2. A huge free archive. Hundreds of thousands of stories, free to read, with no account needed. You could read for years and not run out.
  3. Easy to browse. Dozens of categories, from Romance and BDSM to Sci-Fi and Mind Control, plus tags, top lists, series and audio stories.
  4. A real author community. Readers vote, comment, save favorites and follow authors. There are contests, a forum and volunteer editors too.
  5. A home for your own writing. If you write by hand, a free account lets you publish to a large audience and get feedback from readers.

Where RedQuill is the better choice

Literotica gives you stories other people wanted to write. RedQuill gives you the one you wanted to read.

Explicit stories built around your exact kink

On Literotica, you search categories and tags for something close to what you want. On RedQuill, you describe it, and the story is written for you. It's made for adult fiction, including kinks and power dynamics, within our content guidelines. The spicy level control sets how far each story goes, from slow burn to fully explicit.

One line becomes a full chapter

Type "my rival and I get snowed in at a ski lodge" and RedQuill writes a full first chapter in under a minute. You don't wait for an author's next part. Continue chapter by chapter, steer the next scene in plain words, edit any paragraph, or fork the story to try another direction without losing the original.

Your characters, your rules

Literotica's characters belong to their authors. On RedQuill, you build your own: save a character once (looks, personality, history, how they talk) and reuse them in any story. Each story also keeps a Lorebook, so chapter 12 still remembers what happened in chapter 2. Learn more in Characters 101.

Step into the story yourself

Literotica's interactive stories let you pick from paths an author wrote. Roleplay mode on RedQuill drops you into any chapter, or any paragraph while reading, as a character. You type whatever you do or say, and the AI narrates and plays everyone else in the scene. A Cast panel tracks where everyone is, what they're wearing, their mood and what they're secretly thinking.

A free library you can remix

RedQuill has a library too. Thousands of public stories are free to read on Discover, and you can fork any of them into your own version, with a different pairing, ending or spice level. Prefer to listen? Any chapter can be read aloud, with a choice of voices. Your own stories stay private unless you publish them or share an unlisted link.
