Fallout: Super Mutant Revelation

Based on Fallout the video game. " War...War never changes" .Maddy had left Vault 112 a couple of years ago. She had been wondering and surviving in the wasteland ever since. She was born in the vault so she didn't know what the world was like before the bombs dropped. She had gotten pretty good at staying alive but for a small woman even though in good physical shape it was a constant struggle. The world was filled with muted creatures. From Death Claws to Super Mutants. Super Mutants were once human but some how transformed into huge almost giant, muscled humans. There intellect was severely impaired. She often wished she could could have their strength and stamina but retain her intelligence. One day she came across a large building the sign out front said West Tech Industries. She had heard they were a developer of weapons and bio research but no much more. There was probably a lot valuable stuff in there she thought. Bad thing was there were Super Mutants all around it. She waited till night then snuck in by a vent. She slide down the duct work to find herself in an office. As luck would have it the office was locked from the inside so no one has been in here for decades. There was a working computer terminal on the desk. Must be on an independent power source she thought. Using skills she learned in the vault she quickly hacked the ancient terminal. It had many files on research. One in particular caught her eye. Super Mutant project. She caught her breath. It wasn't the radiation it was West Tech that created them. Reading further she discovered how they had polluted the water supply to see how their serum worked on the local population. Horrified she read on. it turns out it only partially worked. Only a small part of the population transformed into Super Mutants. Some died but oddly enough women were not affected. The file ended there with a note about how mor research was being done in the underground lab. She went back to the main screen and scrolled through till she found the file marked Lab access. She clicked on access lab. A bookcase slide aside revealing an elevator with a blinking down arrow next to it. End of Chapter
