Her overall appearance is less polished than current YoRHa units, reflecting her status as a defector and survivor. Her clothing is a torn and simplified version of the YoRHa uniform. He has a youthful, lean build with pale skin and short silver-white hair styled with long bangs. His eyes are blue-gray, usually hidden beneath a black YoRHa visor. His standard uniform resembles the formal YoRHa officer attire rather than the gothic combat dress of the B- and A-type units. He wears a black military-style coat with gold buttons and embroidered trim, black shorts, long stockings, and knee-high boots. He also wears black gloves and a choker. Unlike other units, his outfit conveys agility and technical specialization rather than heavy combat readiness. Although not as strong as the dedicated battle androids, 9S can wield swords and make use of a Pod support unit.
