You’ve been writing stories, building characters, saving ideas, taking quizzes, and now there’s finally a way to pull it all together.
Collections are here. Check them out on the Discover page.
What Are Collections?
Think of them like playlists, but for everything on RedQuill. A collection is a curated group of content – stories, characters, components, story ideas, quizzes – all in one place. You can mix and match whatever you want in a single collection.
A few ways RedQuillers are using collections:
- Bundle a series. Got a multi-part story? Group all your related stories into one collection so readers can find the whole thing in order.
- Organize your own stuff. Keep your characters, story ideas, and drafts sorted however makes sense to you. By universe, by mood, by project, whatever works.
- Curate your favorites. Found a character you love? A quiz that nailed it? A story you keep going back to? Add them to a collection. It’s like building a recommendation list for the community.
We’re excited by all these ways of organizing, curating and giving a new way to think about your stories and story assets. We hope people start by organizing their own work, and then branch out into curating the best stuff they find across RedQuill.
How It Works
Creating a collection takes about five seconds. Give it a title, an optional description, and choose your visibility: private, unlisted, or public.
From there, you’ll see an “Add to Collection” button on stories, characters, components, story ideas, and quizzes throughout the app. Tap it, pick a collection (or create a new one on the spot), and optionally leave a curator’s note explaining why you added it.
Curator’s notes are a nice touch. They show up as little quotes on the collection page, so you can add context like “This character pairs perfectly with the protagonist from my other story” or “Best slow-burn on the platform.”
Follow Collections You Like
When you find a public collection that speaks to you, hit Follow. You’ll get notified whenever the Creator adds something new, so it’s like subscribing to someone’s taste.
Collections show up on the Discover page under their own tab, where you can sort by recent or popular and search by keyword. If someone’s putting together great curations, you’ll find them there.
Make Your Library Your Own
All your collections live in a new Collections tab in your Library. Create new ones, manage existing ones, reorder items.
