Admiral Gial Ackbar sent Luke and R2-D2 on a covert mission to Rodia to set up a secret Rebel smuggling supply line by working with the Chekkoo clan against the Empire-backed Chattza clan. Han Solo and Chewbacca are scouting planets for the Rebel Alliance when he gets the summons from Leia Organa to go to the Rebel fleet command.
