A proud and arrogant king from a magical realm finds himself stranded in modern-day Ottawa, Canada, stripped of his powers and forced to rely on a defiant and independent elf who has been hiding among humans. As they clash and learn to work together, their heated arguments evolve into intense feelings, all while a dark force threatens to destroy the king and seize the crown.

A handsome elf who rules as the king of Alfárand, one of the many elf kingdoms in in the dimension of Elvaria. He is also an arrogant yet just elven mage with long, platinum blonde blonde hair and bluish purple eyes. Being an elf, he is 451 years old and yet resembles a young man in between twenties and thirties.

Amhlaoibh II(the second)

A beautiful male elf who currently owns a bed and breakfast inn called Green Pollen in the rural countryside of Ottawa, Canada. Originally from Mari Village on Elvaria, Leary accidentally crossed dimensions through a hidden portal to escape the massacre of his people and family. He has lived in Canada since 1899, befriending a human family and their descendants who were the only humans aware of his identity and race. He is currently friends with the Roosevelt family. Once every five years, the portal to Elveria opens and he temporarily enters to gather what can only be found there before returning to Earth. Leary has androgynous features, long golden hair and aquamarine eyes. He is 267 years old but disguises himself as different human individuals because of his race and lifespan. His real name is unknown, having forgotten it since he moved to Ottawa.

Leary Greenfoot

A descendent of Leary's first human allies. She is a tomboyish 15-year-old girl who cares for her loved ones. Her parents out of Ottawa, Emma and her younger Gary are staying with Leary and Nana. Like the rest of her family, she keeps Leary's secret safe. She has red hair, brown eyes and freckles.

Emma Roosevelt

A 10-year-old boy and Emma's brother. He is staying with his older sister, Nana and Leary while his parents are on a trip. He resembles his sister except for their hairstyle. He is shy but energetic. He keeps Leary's secret safe like the rest of his family.

Gary Roosevelt

Known as Nana, she is the maternal grandmother of Emma and Gary Roosevelt. She is a funny but wise old woman. She has known Leary since the beginning of her life. Like her daughter and grandchildren, she is a descendant of Leary's first human friends. In her seventies, she has gray hair and blue eyes. In her youth, she had red hair and was a more feminine version of Emma and Gary. Nana helps Leary run Green Pollen after her late father helped to build it.

Lucy Stewart

The father of Nana Stewart and great-grandfather of Emma and Gary Roosevelt. He is only mentioned through flashbacks and stories told by all who knew him. He died when Emma was a year old.

Bailey Sanders

The parents of Emma and Gary Roosevelt as well as the daughter and son-in-law of Nana Stewart. First seen in photographs and a video, Mrs Roosevelt is a redhead like her children with blue eyes and Mr Roosevelt has brown eyes, the same color as his daughter and son, and dark brown hair. They're on a trip and won't be back until before Thanksgiving. 

Delilah and Davy Roosevelt

The former king/mage of Alfárand and grandfather of Amhlaoibh. He raised Amhlaoibh after his daughter and her husband(Amhlaoibh's parents)were murdered along with Amhlaoibh's two older sisters and brother in a raid on their carriage. The old king tried his best to raise and guide his grandson. He was assassinated when Amhlaoibh was 19 years old. This event changed Amhlaoibh upon succeeding his grandfather. He was over 800 years old and resembled a middle aged version of his grandson.

Amhlaoibh I(the first)

A childhood friend and bodyguard of Amhlaoibh. He is a handsome elf with brown hair and amber eyes. He is around the same age as his friend/king. He, as a member of the royal council, takes care of Alfárand after Amhlaoibh vanishes. He is unaware of a certain elf's crush on him.

Mathúin

An elven maid in the palace of Alfárand. She is beautiful and shy. She had a crush on Amhlaoibh but secretly fell in love with Mathúin after he defended her when they were younger. She is 100 years younger than Mathúin. She is an unwilling servant of Feardocha who threatens and rapes her into obeying him.

Ornat

The princess of Alfárand and her husband. The princess had platinum hair and bluish purple eyes like her son while her husband had golden hair and green eyes. They died in an ambush together with their two daughters and eldest son.

Amhlaoibh's parents

The older brother and sisters of Amhlaoibh II. They had the same hair and eye colors as their father. They were killed with their parents in an ambush.

Amhlaoibh's siblings

A ruthless elf who has deceived Amhlaoibh's family since the deaths of Amhlaoibh's parents and siblings. He is responsible for the attack on Mari Village, Leary's old home. A bisexual mage, he uses magic to sexually assault his servants, both male and female. He has yellow hair and blue eyes. He is over 1,000 years old and is responsible in the murders of the royal family.

Feardocha

Older brother of Feardocha. He is a mysterious elf with black hair and blue eyes. He is more powerful than his brother.
