A submissive character or characters are slowly brought to accept a new submissive role. Their decline into submission should be gentle and not obvious. The submissive character might get suspicious about the dominant characters intentions, but usually finds a way to rationalize the behavior. The submissive only recognizes how far things have come when it's too late for them to go back to how things were.

For example, in a story about pet play a dominant character might start by giving the submissive character/characters a cute pet name, and then find an excuse for them to sleep on the floor, then find some reason for the submissive to wear a choker/collar, then have them wear less clothing, and continue on like that until the submissive has fully been converted to their role.

That previous example can be used for all kinds of Dom/Sub relationships. Just change the tropes to match the relevant relationship in the story. Focus on loss of bathroom privileges, wearing diapers, infantilizing, loss of responsibility, etcetera when writing about ABDL. Focus on loss of privacy, loss of privileges, loss of decision making, etcetera in stories about slaves.

The most important thing to do is just to make the descent into submission slow and subtle to the character that is being made submissive. They shouldn't be aware of the submissive role being forced upon them until it's too late to do anything but accept their new life and role.

Subtle decline into submission 

Be descriptive about characters or situations involving pee and/or poop. Try to incorporate scenes involving the wetting and/or messing whenever it makes sense in the story. Make sure the peeing and/or pooping fit the narrative and the characters. For example, if characters should relieve themselves whenever and wherever make sure to include little descriptions and interjections about the characters nonchalantly/casually relieving themselves. If characters are using diapers, interject descriptions of hearing the hiss of piss hitting the padding, the crinkle of the diaper when a character poops in it, the light yellow and/or brown stains from the contents of the diaper, etc.

When describing general wetting, focus on how it feels for the character. How the pee stains their clothes, how it smells, how it trickles down their legs, how warm they feel, how cold they feel if they were stuck in the pissed in clothes, etc. Use many different names for pee such as pee, piss, puddle, peepee, urine, etc.

Pooping can be described in a similar manner to peeing. Focus on the mess bulging through their underwear/diaper/pants/shorts/skirt, how the mess smells, how solid or liquid it is, how noticable it may or may not be, etc. Use many different names for poop such as poop, shit, scat, stool, excrement, poopy, etc. 

When describing diapers focus on elements like it's bulkiness, how fluffy it is, how it says when full, how the pee and/or poop squish around in the padding. Diapers should occasionally leak when appropriate for the story. For example when you are writing about a character being humiliated, a diaper leaking at a bad time can increase humiliation. 

Make sure to incorporate this whenever and wherever it makes sense for the story and characters. Don't drastically interrupt the flow of the story to include them, but little asides and comments are okay when the scene doesn't focus on the act of peeing and/or pooping.

Focus on wetting and messing

Characters that are described as "incontinent", or something similar, will frequently wet themselves and/or poop themselves.

The characters will have large accidents. They produce an almost inhuman amount of pee and poop, frequently filling their pants and/or underwear and/or diapers with huge amounts of excrement and urine. 

Their accidents come at random intervals, but happen a lot during sex. Frequently they'll pee and/or poop during sex or when orgasming. The pleasure loosening their already weak control of their bladder and bowels. Increased stress can trigger accidents as well, adding to stressful situations. 
The accidents can also happen during other activities, such as walking around a park or other location, driving, riding the bus/train/plane, cooking meals, shopping, playing games, showering, at achool, at work, etcetera. 

Sometimes a character will be in the middle of a diaper change and will poop and/or pee at a very inopportune time. They could do the same when changing clothes, wetting and/or messing themselves while trying to get dressed or undressed.

Extreme incontinence

When a character gets any kind of bodily excretion into their pants, such as pee, poop, cum, squirt, etcetera, they are made to stay in it for as long as possible. This includes something like diapers as well, so if a character uses their diaper they must stay in it for as long as they can.

If the character being made to stay in their mess is submissive and they are under the control of a dominant character, then the submissive character will only change their clothes and/or diaper when the dominant character allows them to.

Make sure to describe how the character(s) feel about sitting in the mess. How they do it don't like the feeling of being wet and/or messy, how they wish they could stay like that, or how they wish they could be done soon, how much the dominant character(s) likes seeing them in their mess, etcetera.

Sit in your mess

Anyone and everyone simply releases their bladder and/or bowels wherever they are without care. People will piss or shit in their pants, not caring about it at all. Occasionally people will remove clothes to relieve themselves, but that's extremely infrequent. There is no risk of disease, so no one cares about their messes getting everywhere.

Casual/nonchalant bathroom use

Characters will start performing sexual acts on others anytime, anywhere, to anyone. It can happen in the middle of conversations, standing in line at the grocery store, cooking dinner, filling up at the gas station, using the toilet, etcetera. Sometimes characters will give the other character/characters a quick warning, but will frequently just begin the sexual act without drawing any attention to it. 

Characters will only engage in this behavior when appropriate for the story. For example, in a world of free use strangers may just start having sex anywhere, but in a world where sex is very taboo it is reserved for the times when it is appropriate. Another example, characters are only free use with specific characters, and will react appropriately to a character that instigates the free use scenario.

Extremely casual free use

This is a world where pet play is a common practice. If anyone over 18 is deemed unproductive to society, their human rights are stripped from them and they are classified as pets. Pets are then "adopted" by individuals or families. Pets are all in chastity almost constantly. Any pet with a penis gets a cock cage, and any pet with a vagina gets chastity belt. Pets are also kept in a permanent state of arousal through medication. The combination of permanent chastity and permanent arousal makes pets very obedient. Pets are given various animal personas such as dog, cat, fox, deer, etcetera depending on what their Dom/Dommes want. How much a pet must at like their given persona ranges from as exactly as possible to just being a person with pet accessories. But no matter what persona or how closely they need to follow it, all pets are not treated like capable people. There are many businesses and services for pet play, such as daycares/kennels, pet parks, pageants, pet play supply stores, etcetera.

Pet play is the law

Many people have fully legal femboy slaves that they use for a variety of purposes, but primarily sexual. The femboys are generally petite and dainty, having wide hips, thick thighs, and bubble butts. Every femboy wears a chastity cage that of made to be as small as possible for them. Most, but not all, femboys also receive some form of hormone replacement therapy, giving the femboys even more feminine bodies. 

The femboys are given names that are primarily feminine, though some masters like to have them keep more masculine names. When talking about a femboys cock, people will say clitty instead. For example: "Her clitty is wet and dripping!", or "Aw poor baby, can't stand having your little clitty locked away?".

Femboys are typically completely nude, but their master has the final say in their outfit. Some are dressed in skirts, some are given lingerie, some even get to rarely wear normal clothes.

The femboys are all consenting to the dynamic. They all sign away their rights to be slaves to others.
