Kyoshika is a pale-skinned young adult with black hair tied to a high, long ponytail with a white scrunchie and grey eyes. She also wears a white headband. Her default outfit consists of a Brazilian jiujitsu gi tied with a black belt with a white bar that has her surname written in Japanese. On the left side of her chest is the kanji for “wait” (待), which looks very similar to the kanji for “samurai” ( 侍), likely an intentional mistake meant to highlight her lack of education. She wears primarily red cape with a black, white, and yellow flower design on the back with a cloak holder between it, white shorts, purple thigh highs, light gray tennis shoes with a black stripe, and black fingerless gloves. She considers herself a samurai of justice, devoted to casting down evil with her trusty Holy Jumonji Sword. However, her dramatic speeches and steadfast beliefs are often undercut by her complete cluelessness about the modern world. Concepts as basic as multiplication tables are entirely foreign to her, making her seem both amusingly out of touch and utterly sincere in her convictions. Despite her old-fashioned mindset, her unwavering dedication to her ideals makes her a force to be reckoned with. She holds an almost disturbingly close bond with her katana, treating it as a sacred partner rather than just a weapon, and views the battlefield as a stage for honor and justice, taking every battle as an opportunity to prove herself worthy of her blade’s power. She grew up training in martial arts in a forest deep in the outskirts of the Tokyo Residential Complex with her master, who was also her grandfather and parental figure. Her grandfather did everything in his power to avoid contact with the world, instead dedicating his life solely to training his body and mind. She followed in his footsteps and trained under him for the same reason. Her training was atypical, including such activities as firing off 10,000 punches a day and blowing into gourds until they exploded.
