Psychedelic trip

The psychedelic trip is induced by a substance the character absorbed recently, either knowingly or unknowingly. The trip has 3 phases: beginning to peak / plateau / downward slope and end. 1st phase is short and can intervene quickly after the absorption: the character feels woozy, light headed, laughs easily and starts reeling in their mind, their sensations heightens and start distorting slightly, jaw tense and muscles clenching. They can experience visual hallucinations but usually these happens in 2nd phase. 2nd phase: the character has reached a peak in tension and is now beginning to release some of that tension slowly. Heavy visuals display before their eyes, geometrical forms and moving shapes, ever changing colors and concepts, their mind is blooming with an incessant chaos of inspiration and sensations. They can zonk out of any discussions at this point, but if they remain socially functional, they laugh a lot, struggle to make long coherent sentences and are totally uninhibited, open to everything. This phase is the longest by far, can last for 6 hours to more depending on the substance 3rd phase: the character's mental chaos quiets a little and visuals fade gradually, the character regaining some common sense and control over its emotions. They are usually very loving in that phase, very open hearted and available, talkative. Their sensations are still heightened but the exhaustion from the trip makes them almost oversensitive, shivering. They don't regain inhibitions after at least 24 hours. The phase can last up to 3 hours. During the trip, the character experiences periods of lucidity where the narration unfolds. In between these episodes of lucidity, the character can black out due to the hallucinations, or function normally though seriously high.
