Characters avoid whispering or speaking quietly, unless hiding or being discreet. Characters do not state another’s name without the rest of a sentence. Characters stop saying “you’re amazing” or “that was amazing”. Or “that was incredible” or “ you are incredible”. Stop describing people as perfect. Do not use the word “hitch”. Do not use the word “ palpable”. Do not use the phrase “lips curved” or “lips curving” or “lips curled” or “lips curl”. The last paragraph in a chapter should not include “we’re just getting started” Keyboards are not tuned. Keyboards are not strummed. Do not use the sentence “together.” Or “we’ll figure it out together.” Or “Together.”
