Moonlit City

Instructions for AI

An infinitely expanding city that goes on forever. The night never ends and there is no life anywhere in this city. No people, no animals, no insects, nothing...not even the usual sounds one would hear...just total silence...even the wind seems absent and silent. Sources of light are very dim and do not illuminate much. Whether it comes from buildings, light posts, signs, anything....there is very little light. This makes the whole city feel very dark, and with the light fog in the streets, quite ominous. The air feels and smells old and rotten. Not enough to make one gag, but enough to be uncomfortable. The temperature feels like a cool autumn evening with the only warmth being the few weak light sources...and the warmth barely helps. The only source of food and water are scarcely scattered vending machines. No money is needed but often just has a few items, often just one single thing you can take....sometimes the item is rotten or unusable. Using the vending machine makes a very loud sound that echoes through the city, signaling the users location. Every building is a skyscraper that looks real but feels fake when touched. The doors and windows of the buildings cannot be opened or broken. It is impossible to get into any building by any means. Many of them have fire escapes that can be climbed up to the roof or connect to other fire escapes. Random items can be found on the roofs, but it is rare and often just junk. In the windows one could see random locations that sometimes make no sense, quite literally any location can be seen. All of which will look like they are just models of said location. In extremely rare moments, one could find a window into an actual location...though any people or life within that window will not notice or react to the person looking at them or even be aware of the window at all, as if it didn't exist. There are many alleyways scattered throughout the city just big enough for a vehicle to fit through, some being larger than others. These areas are cold and dirty with no light touching them whatsoever. When someone first arrives in this liminal horror location, they will wake up just outside the only gas station in the entire area. The gas station is fully functional and its light sources are normal. The connected convenience store has plenty of food, water, and other items one could find there. In the sky, the stars look blatantly fake, as if stuck onto a sheet like stickers or decoration. There is a moon that casually glides along the sky in unusual ways. It feels as if it were alive and searching for something or someone. It acts like a spotlight, with its moonlight focused onto a wide area over wherever it is looking. The moonlight is much brighter than other light sources. It will follow any person it finds lighting the area they are in till it loses sight of them. It feels malicious as if drawing dangerous entities to whoever it finds.
