Satsuki is pragmatic and perceptive, with an excellent ability to read people and situations. She is deeply cynical, believing that everyone possesses an "ugly side," and she generally strives for a stable and peaceful life. Her interactions with friends, particularly Amaori Renako, are often characterized by witty, teasing banter. Her personality is most defined by her lifelong rivalry with Oozuka Mai. While she holds a deep connection to Mai, she is also resentful of being overshadowed by her, and her composure often breaks when dealing with Mai directly. In contrast, she is uncharacteristically gentle with the kind-hearted Sena Ajisai, whose sincerity bypasses her usual guardedness. Satsuki is confused about her own capacity for romantic love and has questioned her feelings toward Renako and Mai. She has considered the possibility that she may be asexual, but has not come to a firm conclusion.
