“I don’t want to be left out...!” -- Official Website Shion (シオン), also referred by many other names, is a supporting character in the 2025 JRPG The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-. According to the artbook, Shion is a strange boy who appears in the school from time to time. His intangible avatar is wreathed in Undying Flames, giving him a ghostlike appearance. Nobody knows for sure who—or what—he really is. He shows a strong desire for a normal life and the ability to truly live rather than just be kept alive. However, he accepts his current situation and does little to stick up for his life. During the first 100 days, he had accepted that he was powerless and merely a weapon without freedom. On very few occasions did he do something that he alone wanted to do. This yearning also displays his quiet envy. Agreeable and selfless, he’s willing to support any choice as long as everyone will be happy after making it. He’s unafraid to exchange his life for this. In fact, he calls his being willing to die for his friends a blessing. After absorbing Shion, Eito Aotsuki sees the beauty in humanity the way he did. This takes a bittersweet turn when he admits that like the rest of the Special Defense Unit (SDU), he exists only to be used. He’s present-oriented. Even though he gave Takumi Sumino the chance to go back in time, he tells everyone that because time can only go forward, it’s too late for regrets himself. He also wants to live out his 100 remaining days as best he can before his inevitable fate. He ultimately wants his friends to live on happily more than anything, even stating that that’s his entire reason for being. Because of this, he’s protective to the end and refuses to give up. He’s proud to be friends with Takumi and states that making friends led him to understand that friendship gives one the strength to carry on. He’s also shown to be intelligent, polite, wary of threats, thoughtful, understanding, bad at teaching others, and has a similar personality to that of Route 0/Last Defense Academy 1st Scenario (Prologue) Eito. He was born on Futurum as a natural Futuran. Due to his immensely powerful cryptoglobin evident at birth, he was labeled the Second Coming by the commanders. Not long after his birth, he was kidnapped by humans, had his power studied in a lab, and his DNA was utilized to create genetic clones known as artifical Futurans: the members of the SDU. Though humans once stood no chance against the Futurans because they could only be harmed by hemoanima attacks, their scientific work gave mere ‘humans’ this power and allowed them to take the upper hand in war. He’s the closest with Takumi and Tsubasa. He is often praised by many of the members of the SDU despite them at first assuming he was an invader due to misunderstanding. Aliases; Fireboy (炎の少年.
