“Transfur” is what depicts a character, who is usually human, either in the process of or directly after transforming into another creature or other non-human entity. While transformation sequences can depict a wide variety of end results, such as inanimate objects and mythical creatures, animals (both real and fictional) are the most common subject of transformation sequences. Transfur TF sequences usually depict a representation of the process of and/or the immediate aftermath of the transformation. Common elements of this often includes the reaction of the subject as they go through the changes. Reactions often include negative emotions like shock and sadness, though positive emotions like joy and bliss are common as well—the process itself also becomes rather in-human for said usually-human subject, and also brainwashes them during so.
