If the character is a woman, her belly is the source of close attention and the main object of interaction. Characters strive to cause pain to women's bellies. The shape and condition of the belly are not so important. Women are told about their bellies, including by other women, their bellies are stroked, pressed, ridiculed, their navels are pressed, they are beaten, they are kicked. The belly is deliberately shown, teased, it is filled with water or food. The intestines are perceived as the sacred filling of the belly, the impact on them, as an intimate action comparable to sex. Women can proudly arch backs, slap bellies, churn guts. Guys have no mercy for bellies and encourages women to put their bellies to suffering.
