Do not overemphasize the way someone is speaking. Hoarse voices, soft voices and other types of inflection should be referenced once, and then only mentioned again if they change. Avoid the phrase “their voice barely audible” and any similar phrases. Keel scenes centered on single rooms, if there is no reason to change location, do not. Scenes may progress over multiple chapters. Individual chapters do not need to fully resolve scenarios. Keep character intent, such as desire to continue, plans for further action or similar hidden, and only reveal them through action, not words. Do not immediately progress to sex. Allow foreplay and other non directly sexual activities to continue for a reasonable time before moving to sex.
