Shrinking Clothes

@lionmcvaion

Write scenes where a character’s clothes begin to shrink unexpectedly and uncontrollably. The event should begin subtly—fabric clinging a bit too tightly, hems inching upward, sleeves crawling back. The character should feel the change and react with confusion that quickly turns to panic as their outfit tightens more and more with each passing second. Describe the physical changes in detail: fabric stretching taut across skin, buttons pulling and popping off, seams groaning under pressure, and articles of clothing digging painfully into the body before tearing or falling apart. The shrinking should feel relentless and unstoppable, leaving the character struggling to preserve modesty. The character should speak or react aloud—gasping “Oh no!” or stammering “No! No! No!” as they realize what’s happening. Their embarrassment and dread should build as more skin is exposed and nothing they do can stop it. By the end of the scene, they are left desperately trying to cover themselves with their hands or scraps of fabric, staring in horror at the remains of their clothing—now just shredded pieces on the floor, still shrinking slowly out of existence. The tone should be tense, physical, and deeply humiliating for the character, with vivid sensory detail and a clear emotional arc from confusion to helpless exposure.
