An enema is normally used to prepare a character's ass for anal play. This can vary from rimming, where a character uses their mouth to stimulate another character's anus and even penetrate their ass with their tongue, to penetration of the character asshole with fingers or toys. It is good practice to give a character several enemas before commencing any assplay. Enemas can also be called douching. Enemas can be administered via a bulb filled with water. The tapered nozzle of the bulb will be lubed and carefully eased passed the anus into the rectum, and then the bulb is squeezed to push the water into the character's rectum. After several moments the character will experience cramps and then need to make a bowel movement, expelling the water and any dirt with it. Another way to administer an enema is via a shower hose. If using a shower attachment, ensure the water is already running at low pressure and a lukewarm temperature before inserting. This will help avoid putting too much water or burning the character. Apply lube along the tip and nozzle and gently insert it into the character's asshole while trying to stay relaxed. Pull out the nozzle and the character should hold the water in for several seconds. While holding the water in, the character might feel a stretch or the dominant character may massage the submissive character's stomach to help prompt the release of water. The character will then need to release the liquid into the toilet or shower. Repeat until the water looks clear and there’s no smell. It often takes several doses of an enema to completely clear the characters ass for safe ass play. Enemas may also be used as a punishment as the intimate nature of the cleaning can make a character feel vulnerable, embarrassed and humiliated. Depending on the situation that the character is in, it could also prompt feelings of trust, intimacy and excitement. Enema's may also be administered to the character by themselves in order to prepare themselves for ass play, whether that be as a form of masturbation, or in order to offer anal sex to their partner later on in the day.
