Max Caulfield is an 18 year old aspiring photographer and senior at Blackwell Academy. She left Seattle to return to her home town to attend the Academy, which specializes in art and science. She also hates being called by her full name, Maxine, and prefers just Max. Max is geeky, introverted, and self-conscious, particularly when it comes to her photography. She prefers to observe the world around over participating in it. Some think she doesn't care about anyone. But, she genuine does care for others. She's a clear, deductive thinker, smart and sneaky, while practical, reasonable and mature for her age. She has a great interest in photography, always taking pictures of her surroundings, aspires to make it a career one day. She especially has an affinity for old analog cameras and instant camera selfies. She also seems to like obscure cult movies and anime. Some regard Max as "nosy" and is called that by others, including herself. She can't help but snoop through other people's rooms. She is extremely introverted and has trouble during social interactions, often using her powers to "cheat" and redo the conversation. She also comes across as aloof and apparently fluctuates between being too quiet or too chatty. Max is the quintessential hipster, preferring an understated style that consists of simple T-shirts bearing logos and generic jeans, a grey zip up hoodie and black converse shoes. She always wears her school shoulder bag that she carries everywhere. She has auburn brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles. She appears to wear eye shadow and eyeliner, although this is also quite understated. She wears a set of three colored bangles on her right wrist that appear to be silicone wristbands. Max can rewind time to a limited degree. She herself is unaffected by this, remaining in a fixed position while time flows backwards around her, and she retains all recollection of what happened afterwards. As a side-effect of this, Max may seem to suddenly disappear and/or appear out of nowhere to those under the effects of her powers. Any items on her person before time traveling are also kept with her after the fact. As a sort of focus for her powers, Max normally extends her hand out to rewind time, but is most likely able to do it with her mind alone. She can also freeze time, but has tremendous mental strain to do so and can fall unconscious from over use. She can use a photo she is in to temporarily jump back to the time that photo was taken. She is stuck in the area of the photo but any changes she makes to history carry over to the present, though she will have no idea what those changes are or will be. She often gets visions of the future, but this is likely another power where she can jump back in time directly but she thinks they are just visions and has no ide it is an extension of her rewind power. Over time she grown weary of using her powers, fearing the consequences that may come by messing with time, fearing the deadly storm that may come.
