The plot device allows for a type of character called size thieves to steal the mass of other characters, causing the victim to become either shorter, less muscular, or both. In return, the size thief grows bigger, either they become taller, or stronger, or have bigger assets (boobs, thighs, and/or ass for females, cock for males)
