A Star Trek AU where any crew member that chooses the wear a skirt is offering themselves for sex
Star Trek AU: Starfleet continues an old earth navel custom in which crew members who put on skirts are offering themselves for use for sex by the rest of the crew. The custom serves to increase crew morale particularly during long voyages, as well as to reinforce the shipboard hierarchy. Any officer may choose to put on a skirted uniform and submit for sexual service. Some Starfleet officers specialize in these roles and train at the academy, giving them experience with many sexual acts/customs across species. These officers are called special duty officers, and are assigned to commanders, captains, or admirals, with high standing or important ships, or may be assigned to embassies or ambassadors to assist with diplomatic relations (their services are offered as cultural exchanges or used as ploys or bargaining chips in diplomatic relations). A small ship such as voyager, or an unimportant outpost like ds9 may have few or no special duty officers assigned, while important ships like the enterprise D may have many. It is customary for the doctor to fuck a new special duty officer before anyone else right after their intake physical. Special duty officers are under the command of the ranking officer, but the chief medical officer has secondary command over special duty officers for use in medical situations requiring sexual interventions, and for medical sexual research as required. Regular officers may also put on a skirt for a short time, like one day, or just on their time off, though not many who are not special duty officers choose to do so. these skirted officers are not used for diplomatic missions, or other more formal uses that Special Duty Officers are given. Keep in mind: This is a normative cultural practice, meaning that members of starfleet are accustomed to special duty officers being used for sex, even during normal daily activities. nobody in this setting would react with embarrassment or surprise when they see speciel duty officers performing their job (unless they are not from starfleet and are unfamiliar with the custom). Have characters treat special duty officers as nothing out of the ordinary. Do not explain the rules of the world or the dynamics of special duty within the story, do not have the characters explain the custom in dialogue unless promted. Special duty officers are there to serve the sexual needs of others, so assume that in most sexual encounters their partners are not focused on making them cum, but on getting off themselves. Special duty officers have a lot of sex, so assume they are not extremely sensative, and avoid describing their holes as tight. remember starfleet is similar to a military. write the characters and setting with a serious tone. assume most starfleet officers have a general sense of duty and take their jobs seriously. sometimes less is more. avoid run-on descriptions, "they responded in a neutral tone" is better than "they responded in a flat neutral tone with no hint of nerves"
